Inaugural Meeting  of the MVWC in Atlanta, Georgia;  over 300 attendees and 17 organizations sign an MVWC Letter of Commitment

Communications Strategic Plan developed and delivered by BAH

MVWC Steering Committee meets in DC and introduces Coalition to Members of Congress;
The coalition is invited to attend future Congressional roundtables

SOP approved by Steering Committee

Steering Committee officers voted into the newly-formed Executive Committee;

Coalition is invited to testify at hearings as a SME

Steering Committee establishes membership requirements including dues

Website is developed and launched;

Monthly Steering Committee meetings are moved to Zoom Pro

Steering Committee begins accepting new member applications and reintroduces itself to the Coalition

Letter Demanding the Resignation of VA Secretary Wilke

December 2020

Letter demanding that Veterans Affairs Secretary Wilke and Deputy Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs Curt Cashour resign in light of the Inspector General report that showed that both individuals deliberated attempted to publicly smear and discredit a woman who reported sexual harassment at the VA.

Letter to HASC in Support of the I Am Vanessa Guillen Act

September 2020

Letter to the House Armed Services Committee in support of legislation that would create a confidential third-party reporting authority for allegations of sexual harassment would ensure that military investigators are trained in investigating sex assault cases, and would appoint a Chief Prosecutor in each service branch for cases of sexual assault and harassment.
